Hotel a Van Meter

“New property. Clean, modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but we were only staying one night. It was quiet. We saw several deer in the adjacent field when we woke up! Breakfast was standard. I prefer more fresh fruit options. Overall a good stay.”

“Overall this place was pretty good. Floors are really creepy tho so you'll here everyone's movement including your neighbors but overall I couldn't complain ”

“Needs a renovation. Rooms were disgusting and rundown. Our room stunk of smoke and stagnant air. Went to open window which was full of black mold. Last two inches of stick used to secure window was all black mold. Have tried calling management three times and they are always gone for an emergency. Have not returned any of my calls. ”

“Property was well lit at night. Quiet area. The room was very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. The hottest shower I think I've ever had which was nice. The breakfast bar was very good. Would stay again if in the area”

“The owner was rude!!! Even though we were supposed to get a non smoking room, it was so saturated with the smell of weed, that opening the doors and windows did not help We asked for a different room but because we had 3 small dogs, he wouldn't let us change rooms. Even the staff said we should be switched. He said if we didn't like it we could leave. This wasn't an option since it was 10:00 at night. We later saw that someone had put a plastic bag over the smoke detector in that room so they...

“Their breakfast is soooo good! I was really impressed. I thought there might be fruit and bagels, but they had sausage gravy and biscuits, a waffle maker, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee! It was fantastic! Plus the price was great. Total BARGAIN and easy to get everywhere in DesMoines. ”
